Dr Peter John McGregor

Dr Peter McGregor has over 30 years’ experience in evangelisation, catechesis and religious education. Before coming to the Catholic Institute of Sydney in 2016 he was the Manager of Studies at the Catholic Adult Education Centre, and Adjunct Lecturer in Theology at the University of Notre Dame Australia, both in Sydney.

Peter is a member of the Emmanuel Community (Communauté de l’Emmanuel), a community of lay people, priests and consecrated people within the Catholic Church. As a member of the Community, he has been involved in various evangelistic outreaches: prayer meetings, parish missions, mercy nights, Zacchaeus (a course on Catholic social teaching), Love and Truth (a marriage enrichment program), youth outreaches, an international youth forum, World Youth Day 2008, street evangelisation, and parish visitation. He has been a lecturer at the Emmanuel School of Mission in Manila. Currently, he serves as a spiritual and theological formation provider to community members.

Australian Catholic University’s 2013 Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the PhD Thesis.
