August 2020 Research Writers Workshop
First Workshop

This Workshop is open to Sydney College of Divinity faculty members. Each workshop can involve up to eight participants. Participation will be on the basis of submitted research proposals.

The workshop offers faculty members the opportunity to turn their good ideas into publishable outputs targeting quality international journals. Participants are mentored by internationally recognised scholars who will assist in building up ideas, shaping them into a research paper, and submitting this paper to a quality journal.

It is a residential workshop with overnight accommodation included. Accommodation at The Centre is easily accessed by public transport and there is ample on-site and on-street parking available.

Application and Research Proposal

Participation for the next workshop will be on the basis of your research proposal. You must attach your research proposal when submitting the online application. You research proposal should be no more than 500 words in which you outline the idea you would like to work on and the approach you will take (bibliography not required). If the workshop is oversubscribed candidates will be chosen on a selective basis, to be decided by the SCD Research Office.

Cost of participation is nil, including accommodation and meals (if air travel is required the Sydney College of Divinity will provide financial assistance for this; it is desirable for your MI to provide matching assistance). The location is easily accessed by public transport and has ample on-site and on-street parking.
