Biographical Information
Dr. Sehyun Kim, a Sheffield University graduate, joined the Korean School of Theology of the Sydney College of Divinity in 2016 after teaching New Testament at Seoul Bible Graduate School of Theology in South Korea for five years. He is the coordinator of the Master of Arts /Master of Theology programs of the Korean School of Theology.
Research Interests
Dr Kim’s research interests include the Gospel of John, New Testament Christology, Postcolonialism, New Testament and Roman Empire, New Testament Greek and Exegesis, and Korean Biblical Hermeneutics.
Publications
Dr Kim has published his PhD thesis, The Kingship of Jesus in the Gospel of John (Pickwick, 2018), and one article, “Jesus as Good Man in the Gospel of John” in Scripture and Interpretation (2009). He has also translated several English theological books into Korean. He is now writing an article entitled “Jesus as Benefactor in the Gospel of John” in Korean and also New Testament Greek Grammar for Korean students. He is an editorial member of Journal of Sydney Theological Reflections published by the Korean School of Theology of the Sydney College of Divinity.
